Key Differences

  • Graphics Power: Series X has a quite more powerful GPU with 12.15 TFLOPS compared to the Series S’s 4 TFLOPS.
  • Memory: Series X has more and faster memory, which can handle higher resolutions and more detailed textures.
  • Storage: Series X comes with a 1 TB SSD, on the other hand Series S has a 512 GB SSD. Both support expandable storage.
  • Resolution: Series X supports 4K while Series S only supports 1440p.
  • Optical Drive: Series X has a 4K UHD Blu-ray drive, whereas the Series S does not have an optical drive.
  • Size and Weight: Series X is larger and heavier compared to the Series S.

If you are someone who want to play physical games then you should avoid Series S at all cost. As it doesn’t have a optical drive. So you have to purchase every game from the store in order to play.

Buying Series X might be a bit expensive but it’s offering better graphics as well as it has optical drive so you can play both physical and digital game. And the benefits of the optical drive is you can easily resale your discs to get some money back and also be able to buy used disc for cheaper.

Conclusion

However, we can say that Series X is a better option from Series S in many way. So it would be a great idea to spend couple extra hundreds for a Series X. It’s the latest console and offering some unique features also. For more blog like this click here. Happy Gaming!
